Pediatric Tobacco Control
The Mississippi Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics contracts with the Mississippi State Department of Health Office of Tobacco Control to increase the impact of tobacco prevention and cessation messages to children and their families. This includes providing access to information on statewide cessation and other resources, strategies for incorporating tobacco education into clinic services, and providing access to continuing medical education (CME) offerings. The Chapter hosted a webinar on tobacco cessation treatments in July 2011. This webinar is being made available on the Chapter website and offers one hour of CME credit at no cost. To access this webinar, click on the link listed below. You may also access the slide set (posted below). For CME credits to be offered, the following documents MUST be submitted to the Chapter office: registration form, evaluation form, and post-test (all of which are posted below). These documents may be downloaded, completed and emailed to the Chapter office at msaap@integrity.com or hard copies may be mailed to the address listed on the documents.
